Appointments are scheduled in advance to allow adequate time for individualized care. While we make every effort to remain on schedule, appointment times may vary based on patient needs and the nature of dermatologic care.
We participate with multiple insurance plans and are actively awaiting finalization of enrollment with additional carriers. Because insurance coverage varies by plan, patients are encouraged to confirm participation when scheduling. While every effort is made to ensure this list is kept up-to-date, each patient must take responsibility to verify coverage with their insurance company.
Initial payment is collected at the time of your visit based on applicable copays or estimated patient responsibility. Final patient responsibility is determined after your insurance claim is processed based on your insurance policy. Available payment methods include:
At the conclusion of your visit, an estimate charge or copay may be due at checkout. The copay is set by your insurance, and any estimate is based on the services provided, the billing codes generated during your visit, and your individual insurance plan.
Please note:
Our goal is to be transparent and helpful at every step. If you have questions about your estimate, benefits, or a statement you receive after your visit, our team is happy to assist.
Some visits may involve separate services, such as a procedure like a biopsy, swabbing an area of your skin for bacterial culture, or requesting you obtain bloodwork at a laboratory. In these cases:
Syracuse Dermatology works with a separate billing company to assist with insurance claims and patient billing. We expect all companies working on our behalf to uphold the same high standards that we expect within our practice.
If you have a question or concern about your bill, we encourage you to contact the EZDERM billing team at 844-266-6366.
If your concern is not adequately addressed, if you would like to make a payment over the phone, or if you would prefer to bring any concerns directly to our attention, please contact Syracuse Dermatology at 315-500-3376.
We take billing concerns and the performance of our vendors and partners seriously. Because we may not otherwise be aware of an individual issue, we ask that you let us know about any unresolved concern so that we have the opportunity to review it and intervene when appropriate.
Raising a billing concern will not affect your care. Our goal is to ensure that billing questions and concerns are addressed appropriately, fairly, and promptly.
